This was the next film Jean-Luc Godard did after Contempt which is surprising...because it feels like this and the next few will be steps back into Black and White - it uses the formula he likes, which is a girl and a gun - LOL
It was interesting - I was mostly waiting for the heist part and it took a while to get to - it was a fascinating story and I did try very hard to keep my interest but a lot of it was small french talk - and it was a LOT - LOL but I also always love seeing old France and Paris - some of my favorite movies are things like the documentary La Joli Mai where you get to see Paris in the 50's and 60's which is when I would have wanted to go
but I like Godard for the most part - some of his stuff like Masclin Feminin are some of my favorites but he is experimental and doesn't always hit 100% to me - but I will look forward to Breathless again when it shows up
